Josh Turner Set To Release HaywireJosh Turner is currently ramping up for the release of his fourth studio album, Haywire, which will hit store shelves on Tuesday. In an interview with Examiner.com, the Grand Ole Opry member said the time he spent working on the album went by quickly. "We heard 'Why Don't We Just Dance' and then we found 'Loving You On My Mind' and then I think we found 'Your Smile,'" he said. "We got really excited about getting the ball rolling and it took eight months from start to finish."
Cowell Releases Video For Charity RecordingSimon Cowell and a bevy of stars have released a promotional video for their charity recording of R.E.M.'s 1992 hit, "Everybody Hurts." The song was recorded to support the Haitian relief effort. The video features footage of such stars as Miley Cyrus and Mariah Carey in the studio recording the song, as well as footage from Haiti. The single was officially released for download through iTunes over the weekend. The video is currently streaming on YouTube.
Toby Keith Plays Tribute To Sooner LegendOn Saturday night Toby Keith paid tribute to the late former basketball star and jazz bassist Wayman Tisdale with a half-time performance at the University of Oklahoma's home game against the University of Texas. Tisdale, who holds multiple OU points records, lost a two-year fight against cancer last May. At the game, Keith performed an original song, "Cryin' for Me (Wayman's Song)," with Tisdale's band, all of whom donned jerseys from the star's days in the NBA.
