When it comes to planning a wedding, the list of decisions can seem endless. You have to scout out a venue, send out invites and even find a photographer to take pictures of the special occasion. So imagine having to arrange both the marriage ceremony and reception in the midst of being one of the biggest stars in country music. Sounds daunting, right?

As it turns out, that’s the case for Luke Combs, who is currently out on the road as part of his Beer Never Broke My Heart Tour.

In a recent interview with People, the 29-year-old country singer and songwriter revealed that he and his fiancée Nicole Hocking haven’t started making plans for their big day yet. In fact, they haven’t even picked out a wedding date.

“We’re just crazy busy. Especially this year,” Combs said of the pair’s decision to delay their vows, while on the red carpet at the sixth annual iHeartCountry Festival. “We just haven’t had any time to sit back and be home for more than three or four days. And it’s just a really overwhelming process, doing what we do.”

Combs announced his engagement to Hocking back in November with a sweet post on Instagram featuring the couple on a Hawaiian vacation. Even though the bride and groom-to-be won’t be rushing down the aisle anytime soon, Combs says he hopes they’ll be able to start making arrangements once his schedule slows down.

“It’s an interesting process, but we’re looking forward to getting into it,” the “She Got the Best of Me” hitmaker explained. “We’ve got some time off later this year, for about six weeks, so I’m sure we’ll get into it then and get some things done.”

Combs also added that his newfound fame might pose a challenge when it comes to securing all of the details for his big event.

“Everything that you do is scrutinized or put in the public light, so it can be like: How do we do this?” he says. “I don’t like the word ‘celebrity wedding,’ but how do you get a venue? Me and her would want to go look at the venue and make sure we like it. How do you go there and make sure that people working there aren’t going to say, ‘Hey, these people are getting married here?’”

In the meantime, Combs is enjoying his engagement and recent successes. His latest release, The Prequel, is out now.
