Eric Church has spent the majority of 2019 on the road on his headlining Double Down Tour, bringing his incredible live show to cities around the U.S. In most cities, Church sells out not just one, but two nights, delivering an entirely different set for fans each night. It’s an impressive feat only Eric Church could pull off.
Church recently made his way to Philadelphia where he performed for back-to-back sold-out nights at the Wells Fargo Center.
Country Now has exclusive photos from the first night of his two-night stand in Philly, where he took the stage around 8:45 pm, immediately kicking things into high gear with “That’s Damn Rock & Roll.” Setting the tone for the entire night, Church and his band cranked it up and had fans on their feet singing along.
Church went on to perform a career-spanning set that included a whopping 30 songs (yes, you read that right!). His set included radio hits such as “Some Of It,” “Mr. Misunderstood,” and “Springsteen,” as well as deep cuts like “Mixed Drinks About Feelings” and “Chattanooga Lucy.” The interesting thing about Church’s shows is it’s difficult to decipher what songs have been on the radio and which haven’t because his fans sing along to every song as if each one is a chart-topping single.
Throughout the show, the superstar proved time and time again that he is indeed worthy of his current CMA Entertainer of the Year nod. There’s absolutely nothing like an Eric Church show!
